P.Eye-S™
The P.Eye-S™ is Portendo’s first product for detecting explosives from a safe distances (standoff detection) and helps keep security personnel safe and away from the threatening objects. The P.Eye-S is designed for short-range and is remotely operated for detection of explosives in stationary and mobile vehicle checkpoints.

P.Eye-S Operation
The P.Eye-S screens the surface of vehicles and other objects for traces of explosives and is operated from a remotely located operator’s central. The operator’s interface shows an image of the target and provides easy and accurate screening of a vehicle. The P.Eye-S analyzes one subarea at a time, which is the size of the palm of a hand.
When screening a vehicle the P.Eye-S targets a laser beam at a subarea of the vehicle and detection is initiated, and within tens of seconds, a result is presented on the operators screen. By simply testing a few subareas on the outside of the vehicle, there is a high probability to quickly identify traces of explosives, should the vehicle or passenger carry these substances. Similarly, the P.Eye-S can analyze containers, cargo and baggage for traces of explosives.
